Bright citrus and berry pigments suggest a gradual transition from summer into autumn for Topshop Beauty’s fall make-up collection. The line comprises of three key products: Lip Polishes, Cheek Gels (our beauty editor’s hot pick) and Nail Polishes, which launches in October.
Cheek jellies, lipsticks and nail polishes each span the spectrum of red hues from orange to vermilion, dark red, plum and burgundy. The Cheek Gels can be layered to create different looks from a soft healthy glow to an intense rosy flush. Housed in little pots, there are five vibrant colours to choose from: Museum (red brown), Sibling (plum), Beep (bright red), Reign (raspberry) and Phenomenon (coral).
The Lip Polishes come in five shades of nudes and browns and delivers a gel-like shine, while the Nail Polishes comprises five glossy red-brown hues, including: Exhibit (red brown), Middle Child (plum), Toot (bright red), Bind (raspberry) and Genius (coral).
Topshop Beauty A/W 14 Collection is available from October 2014.
The Face Collection
In addition this to autumn line, Topshop Beauty has created The Face Collection, a range of base products featuring primers, foundations and concealers. The products, which took 18 months to develop, have been designed to give a “no make-up” effect, thanks to the skin-tone adapting formulation.
The Foundation’s silky texture features a new siliconic gelled formula that is said to leave a natural finish. There are two primers: The Airbrush Primer, a pore and blemish refiner; and The Colour Correcting Primer, which contains oil-absorbing powders to take away shine and even out skin tone. The Concealer incorporates skincare ingredients of algae and golden chamomile to treat dark circles and puffiness, while also concealing imperfections. Finally, The Concealer Palette comes with three customisable concealers: one for colour correcting, one for undereyes and one for blemishes; plus a translucent finishing powder.
Topshop Beauty The Face Collection will be available from September 2014.
Molten Metallics Collection
Inspired by the 1980s metallic beauty trend, Topshop Beauty will release a new Molten Metallic range that includes lip, cheek and nail products this August. Metallic make-up was a key look on the autumn/winter 2014/15 catwalks, mentioned in our liquid metallic global beauty trend report. At Rodarte, models displayed dark berry lacquered lips, while at Christian Dior models showcased shimmery metallic eyelids.
Topshop Beauty has opted for wearable metallic shades: think rose gold, silver pink and mauve within this collection. Metallic Lips includes four shades: Drive (purple), Mescaline (gold), Armour (dark rose) and Mercurial (silver pink). The blendable Metallic Cream Blush comes in two shades: Pulse (rose gold) and Aorta (mauve pink) and finally completing the collection are four Metallic Nail Polishes in Aurelian (gold), Cryogenic (silver), Filament (brushed gold) and Incandescent (rose gold).
Topshop Metallic Lipstick, Metallic Cream Blush and Metallic Nails are available from August 2014.
