Tom Scott

Young housewives in the throes of ennui set the scene for Tom Scott’s spring presentation at the legendary Chelsea Hotel .  The designer was inspired by “old-fashioned things you can find at home” to create a line of quirky-chic knits in a palette of cosmetic neutrals and muted pastels.  The loose cable knit shift dresses, sheer harem pants, and ruffled crop tops were perfect for lounging around the house or lazily performing chores as Scott’s models were doing.  However, the mundane domestic vignettes only heightened the masterfully draped construction and modern sensibility of Scott’s clothing.  These are the kind of clothes that beg to be worn out rather than locked away behind the closed doors of domestic bliss.
