Three key trends from the streets of London

From Royal attendees to runway invasions, London was filled with drama and excitement.

In what was perhaps one of the most creative of seasons, London’s streets were also brimming with creativity and style. Anna Ross  gives us the lowdown on the three key street style trends she saw while out and about at the shows:

The Trench

Of course, the ‘Burberry effect’ had an immediate impact on the streets of London.

Street styles payed homage to Christopher Bailey’s final season at Burberry, with the fashion crowds turning out in full-checked trenches. Though not all were Burberry-clad, we saw loads of oversized, deconstructed, patent and colorful variations too. When the rain (inevitably) falls in London, style with a see-through overlayer.

The Mini-Cat Eye

London was blessed with two-full-days of glorious sunshine. Yes, you heard correctly, TWO FULL DAYS! Cue a scattering of chic specs – we’re loving  the shrunken variations in cat-eye shapes. Extra points if they’re colourful.

Autumnal Hues

I may have said it was sunny, but it certainly wasn’t warm. What did heat things up a little were these lovely autumnal tones. Consider pairing rust and burgundy or khaki and copper for a modern approach to tonal dressing. Accessories to match too, of course.

Onto Milano! Do you think we’ll see much Gucci?!
