Menswear designer Thom Browne announced early this year that he would be launching a womenswear line. The first official images of his S/S 11 looks for women have just been released, and as Browne said they would be, ensembles are built around tailored separates. While “Good, all-American menswear” was the major inspiration behind the collection, the clothes are cut to flatter a feminine figure. Browne’s female fans will be pleased, as the collection’s preppy plaids, cable knits and pleats mirror the men’s designs that he’s famous for.
