SUBLIME CRAFTSMANSHIP
New York: Thom Browne’s innate sense of showmanship came to the fore once again in an extravagant ecclesiastical production. Silhouettes were infused with religious references from the full-length robe and cape to the dove of peace carefully appliqued on to silver jacquard. Exaggerated and rounded shapes were opulently treated with sculpted and intricate panelling that put emphasis on the waist. – Lizzy Bowring
