Todd Selby is a contemporary portraitist, capable of capturing the essence of his subjects in their personal environments. His ability to transform the most mundane locations into magical parallel dimensions caught the eye of NIKE 6.0. They commissioned Todd (just The Selby to those in the know) to shoot photographs and videos for its 2009 Fall/Holiday ad campaign, as well as a few of his intentionally rudimentary watercolor renderings.
Selby traveled to each hometown of NIKE 6.0’s professional athletes and shot them at home and while training. Garrett Reynolds, James Stewart, Mason Aguirre, Michel Bourez, Nigel Sylvester and Ben Horan were asked to well, just be themselves while Selby created a voyager portal for fans. Check out Selby’s website for a closer glimpse, not only to see the NIKE 6.0 endeavors, but also the enchanted world he has created with the help of his creative subjects.
