It’s not often you cover fashion month if you work in interiors, but Ikea hosted its first ever catwalk show as part of Milan Fashion Week and it was quite something. The Swedish retailer showcased its collections developed in collaboration with Katie Eary and Martin Bergström, blurring the lines between fashion and furniture.

The show was streamed live from YouTube – but if you don’t have time to watch the whole thing, jump to minute 14…

The first collection to take the stage was Bergström’s. Entitled Svärtan, it comprised of home textiles (bed sheets and rugs) and glassware in a pared-down palette of grey, black and white. Eary’s Giltig range, on the other hand, features bold prints in vivid colours applied on aprons, lampshades and tableware items. Both collections will available in-store in 2016.
