Milan Design Week 2018: Tech brands go soft
Apr 20, 2018 | By Sarah Housley
Miu Miu’s temporary, private “gentlewomen’s” club, The MiuMiu London, has opened its doors today at London’s Café Royal. The three-day extravaganza offers an infatuating mixture of frivolity and intellectualism – with no boys allowed.
Commencing today until Thursday, the club will become a space to enjoy, discover, and connect with like-minded women, over film, discussions, and food by chef Margot Henderson. The exciting event lineup focuses on the important things in a woman’s life today, such as business and family, juvenile fun, and high-brow culture.
In a recent interview with Rob Givhan of The Daily Beast, Miuccia discussed her role as a designer.
“I realized my job is to define – well not to define because that’s so pretentious – but to understand: What does it mean? Beauty, today, for a woman?”
Encouraging members to “come as you are,” the club is a brilliant celebration of independent, intelligent women who define themselves.
For those who missed out on the exclusive invitations, The MiuMiu London will be offering a daily live stream of key events happening until Thursday, November 29.
