New York…Duckie Brown
Duckie Brown has always been a tailored collection with a hard core sense of humor, lots of color and a signature drop crotch silhouette. Since F/W ’08, and evidenced again this collection, “The Main Duckie,” a shift has occurred in the DB world. To the untrained eye, the palette looks mostly black, black and black, with the occasional pop of yellow for some of the sporty stuff. But a closer examination reveals yellow-black, green-black, blue-black and so on. It’s a subtle shift of nuance that emphasizes a bigger change in direction from Steven Cox and Daniel Silver as their clothes maintain their wow factor but evolve into something infinitely more wearable.
