It’s been a busy month for Louis Vuitton. In addition to their bespoke trunk service, the retailer will now allow customers to create customized bags, choosing from 80,000 options to create the bag of their dreams. The Haute Maroquinerie, found inside of Louis Vuitton’s Bond Street store, will serve as a private salon in which store experts guide customers through the customization process. The orders will then be sent to the company’s workshop in Asnières, where their bespoke trunks are also crafted.
In addition to the creation of their new bespoke bags, Louis Vuitton’s recent collaboration with Yayoi Kusama launched a collection of ready-to-wear, along with dot-covered accessories. Timed to coincide with Kusama’s retrospective at the Whitney Museum of American Art, the collaboration opened at Louis Vuitton’s 5th Avenue flagship. Among our favorite accessories are the dotty sunnies and sleek totes, accented with polka dot handles and bottom panels.
