The Greenroom Festival 2012: TOKYO!

The Active Team is in Tokyo this week, tracking trends and hitting the pavement in search of new stores, directional brands and sweet street-style looks. Our first stop was at The Greenroom Festival in Yokohama. This festival appeals to Tokyo’s “beach-bound” set, with a line-up of local and international indie bands including Brooklyn’s finest The Drums, as well surf photographers and artists from around the globe. As far as trends go…Outdoor-inspired ensembles are still KEY here in Japan. Layered short and knit legging combos, performance shells and mountaineering packs are essential. Hippie vibes are also still going strong, with tons of tie-dye, psychedelic patterns, floral accessories and saturated colors.
