From The Jungalow, to IN BED Store, WGSN Lifestyle & Interiors’ Poonam Dhuffer talks about her growing Insta-addiction.
Hello my name is Poonam, I am an Instagram addict and not ashamed.
It’s the beginning of the year, time to back up my phone pictures to my hard drive and email all my fave accounts to the rest of my badass content team to check out, under neatly organised subtitles (to the point of obsession) of course. Luckily I have a 64g iPhone, which is a godsend, especially during trade show season!
In this month’s photo album cull, I realised I had over 2,500 screen shots of Instagram images, it was time to make some folders and get organised.
“I follow over 2,600 accounts, ranging from typography, illustration, print & pattern, textiles, food styling, fashion, beauty, music and pretty much everything in between.”
And as they say one man’s trash is another man’s treasure, so with all my hoarding here’s are my top four accounts which you should be following straight from my handset:
Firstly, my go-to account for all things Bohemian has to be The Jungalow by Justina Blakeney.
Her Instagram is full of lush botanics, colourful watercolour drawings, plant pots and how to create the most lush free spirit interiors.
Motivational typography is key at the moment and will continue for Spring/Summer 2016. Spreading these positive vibes is Amber Ibarreche.
I am obsessed with quotes of “real talk” and childlike hand-writing. Her quotes always put a smile on my face.
For me, In Bed store are killing it! I love the pared-back aesthetic in tonal colours and quality linens. They post styled images of bed linen, sleepware, and candles available to purchase from their online store.
Food 52, is one of my favorite food websites ( alongside the main man Jamie Oliver). Their curated feed of food and cooking always makes my mouth drool. It is filled with delicious recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and sweet treats! I am always thinking about what lush meals I can make on the weekend, as I love hosting dinner parties, and seeing my friends and family enjoy the food I have made.
“ How you eat is how you live” true say Food 52!
