An interesting, if rather weighty post today focuses on the work of young blogger/ writer/ social commentator Sourabh Sharma, who has spent many hours plotting and analyzing the fit trends of denim measurements through the ages for industry denim blog, Denim and Jeans.
Starting in the 1950s when denim moved from the arena of practical workwear into the realm of the fashion item, he studied rise, leg and hem measurements and how they have fluctuated in line with trends.
He goes on to talk about the future of denim trends and ‘key eras’ in denim. An enthusiastic and dedicated writer, Sharma’s writing has certainly given us food for thought! See the article here.
