The CFDA Gets Personal

The much anticipated CFDA Fashion Awards are quickly approaching and the annual program is always an enticing preview. This year, the esteemed  fashion organization took on a more personalized approach, with each nominee and honoree curating their own photo shoots. Renowned photographer Solve Sundsbo shot each designer to reflect his or her individual aesthetic. Alexander Wang chose to be surrounded by his high school friends, all clad in his designs, while Donna Karan was shot on her own reflected in a series of mirrors. Marc Jacobs was missing during his photo shoot but replaced with paper cutouts of his face, which the models carried in his absence. These personalized images provide a closer look at the nominees for the upcoming ceremony.
