Munich-based menswear label A Kind Of Guise have just added a limited collection of carpet duffel bags, rich in heritage, and fuelled by a research trip to the middle east, entitled the Kilim Project.
Only 100 unique, handmade bags are available to buy, each made from vintage used carpets purchased on the trip, from almost every country around the Persian Gulf. Each carpet used was hand-knitted was selected for their iconic patterns and colors, some surprisingly dated as far back as the 19th Century.
The leather-based, drawstring design perfectly evokes a nomadic spirit fitting to the authentic carpets used, and in-keeping with the relaxed trans-seasonal style of the brand.
