Burton x Carhartt WIP

The Active Team is beyond stoked on the second collaboration between Burton Snowboards and workwear kings, Carhartt. The brands have joined forces yet again to create the Burton x Carhartt WIP Team outerwear collection for 2012. It’s clear to us that the design team preserved Carhartt’s hallmark “elbow-greased” look — including the signature corduroy stand collar — while simultaneously creating technical pieces that perform in gnarly conditions.  It’s a match made in snowboarding heaven.

The collaboration is based on Carhartt’s classic, Traditional jacket and Single Knee pant  – these happen to be some of the brands’ most popular styles. The jacket is constructed from a double layer GORE-TEX® Performance Oxford shell featuring fully taped seams protected by 13 mm GORE-SEAM® tape and the pant, equally on point, also features a GORE-TEX® Performance Oxford shell and GORE-TEX® taped seams.

If you are as excited as we are, check out Burton Flagship stores, Carhartt and select locations to pick up this one of a kind collaboration! –Devon Walsh

I picked up this jacket and also the matching pants from Burton and so far I love it. Burton and Carhart have really done of good job of merging their two unique brands together. Usually, Carhartt only makes workwear, so I was excited to get these to see how well they work in the snow with my snowboard gear!
