The Book of Skulls – Graphic book highlight

Skulls are a continual focus point for many tee graphics and contemporary illustration pieces. The Stylesight graphic team spotted this interesting book due for release in September – The Book of Skulls by Faye Dowling.

Curated by Faye Dowling of Dazed & Confused magazine, the book – as the title suggests – is full of images of skulls created by many of today’s ‘hot’ names in art.

The skull is one of the most recognizable symbols of today’s contemporary visual culture. Adorning T-Shirts, badges and rock memorabilia as the ultimate symbol of anarchy and rebellion, the image of the skull has found its way into the vocabulary of urban life.
