As a beauty editor, I get to sample some of the latest finds in beauty land on a day-to-day basis. Here is my pick of the top five products that are guaranteed to keep you cheerful during the upcoming cold, winter months.

1. Detox Drink

I’ve always been a massive fan of drinking tea, especially herbal tea. I can easily consume up to three or four cups a day. During a recent launch at Liberty’s, I discovered this amazing tea from Dr Jackson’s. Detox Tea is a light infusion of cleansing organic extracts of fennel, elderflowers, aniseed, liquorice and senna fruit to help detox and purify the body. You can drink this tea anytime during the day, but for me I love to kick start the day with a hot herbal beverage to perk me up for the day. Also, it’s a great detoxifer if you’ve had a heavy weekend.

2. Scent Stories

Have you ever wondered what fragrances stylish people wear? Well, this new perfume blog, We Wear Perfume, is definitely worth checking out and bookmarking on your laptop. Created by Amanda Carr, trend forecaster and co-editor of lifestyle blog The Women’s Room, We Wear Perfume features interesting and inspiring scent stories that people – from a super fit tri-athlete to a bass guitarist – chose to wear and why they love it. And if you love the fragrance too, there is a click to buy button so you can purchase the scent!

3. Multi-Masking

I’ve always been a huge fan of Korean skincare brands. I use a BB cream religiously on a daily basis and apply a sleeping mask weekly at night. So when this When Special Package mask set arrived on the beauty desk, I was intrigued to try it out. Arriving all the way from Korea to the UK, this little box contains five different, individual sheet masks to treat different skin needs. Easy to apply and no need to wash off, the masks are a make-up bag must-have and are great for skin that needs some extra bit of TLC.

4. Botanical Candle

I love a good scented candle, and this week I’ve fallen in love with Liz Earle’s Eucalyptus & Rosemary Botanical Candle. Created using ingredients from the brand’s cult classic Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser, the new scented candle burns to leave a fresh, aromatic herbal aroma. It also comes in a beautiful eye-catching spearmint container. This candle smells good and looks good too.

5. Make-Up Palette

There are so many great make-up products in the beauty halls, but one thing that makes a product stand out for me is beautiful packaging. Dolce & Gabbana’s new Beauty Voyage palette caught my eye instantly with its leopard print Animalier design. However, the inside is pretty impressive too. Containing four eyeshadows, a blusher, an illuminator, two lipsticks and a brush, this palette will see you through the entire party season.
