Spring has sprung – apparently – and I’m suddenly craving an injection of floral ingenuity and a burst of freshness. What better flower to turn to then than the humble rose, with its delicate yet powerful scent that helps turn a grey day into one with a little bit of sparkle? It also happens to be a great scent for mums, and with UK Mother’s Day just around the corner these five rose-based products are fail-safe gift ideas for that last minute purchase. You can’t go wrong with flowers now can you?

1. Fresh Rose Face Mask:
Made with pure rosewater and real rose petals, this face mask from Fresh is a delightful gel formula product that deeply hydrates the skin and restores radiance. Combining cucumber extract with aloe vera gel and antioxidant-rich green tea, it’s a much-loved solution for a dry and tired-looking complexion. Lovers of Fresh must keep an eye out in April too, as two new rose-based products are ready to hit the market. Their delectable deep hydration face cream and a smooth face serum are perfect additions to any skincare routine – trust me.

2. SU:M37 Miracle Rose Cleansing Stick:
Hailing from Korea, this solid, twist-up cleanser with real rose petals is a perfect travel companion or gym bag buddy. Melting away make-up and daily impurities with a simple, residue free lather, it combines damask rose extract with coconut oil and green tea seed oil for a gently hydrating formula. Using over 90% natural ingredients, it’s a good’un for all skin types and smells as comforting as the inside of a florist’s shop.

3. Chantecaille Pure Rosewater:
A must have for the office desk; Chantecaille’s Pure Rosewater is a spritz of freshness, designed to uplift and liven up the skin. Containing 100% of the rare Rose de Mai extract, this antioxidant rich spray helps maintain a youthful complexion as well as acting like a little jolt of caffeine during a slow and almost painful afternoon.

4. Melvita Rose Petal Shower Gel and Hydrating Body Veil:
These two new little gems from Melvita don’t need to come as a pair but work beautifully together nonetheless, and leave you smelling like a giant bouquet of fresh blooms for the rest of the day. Both contain the scent of three wild roses, with the addition of rose floral water in the body veil for a super hydrating result.

5. Sisley Black Rose Precious Facial Oil – Nutrition Anti-Age:
Targeted at dry or mature skin, this new Black Rose Precious Facial Oil from Sisley is a silky-smooth formula for a toning, smoothing and revitalizing result. Built around a heart of black rose extract, it combines essential oils of Bulgarian rose and magnolia with plum oil and camelina oil to strengthen the skin and deeply moisturise.
