We’ve seen the popularity of personalised skincare booming, but now customised make-up and hair products are coming to the fore. Here are three new personalised products and services that have launched on the market that we are most excited about this week.
1. The Sensual Skin Enhancer Custom Blend:
Shopping for a foundation that matches your skin perfectly can be tricky but help is at hand thanks to Kevyn Aucoin. Last week I was invited to the Space NK Hans Crescent store to try out the Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer Custom Blend, an exclusive in-store service – running in selected Space NK stores throughout this month – that mixes and matches a bespoke concealer and foundation to your exact skin tone.
“Like a painter with an assortment of tools and brushes, the Kevyn Aucoin make-up artist blended different shades together to create my custom shade and applied it to my face.”
The coverage of the foundation is lovely and my skin looked flawless. No wonder Kim Kardashian is a fan of the brand’s Sensual Skin Enhancer.
2. The Bespoke Eyeliner Bar
Following the success of its bespoke mascara service at Harvey Nichols, London, last year, Eyeko (the brand that produces products only for the eyes) has unveiled a new custom eyeliner bar exclusively at Selfridges. There are eight different custom looks ranging from a classic feline flick called Alexa, which is named after brand ambassador Alexa Chung, a graphic thick lines inspired by Cleopatra, a timeless cat eye called Audrey and a sultry winged liner named Brigitte. The Eyeko artist will help you master the perfect liner for your desired look and you’ll be gifted with a Black Magic Liner so you can recreate the look at home.
3. The Match-Up Hair Care
Combining customisation with beauty subscription boxes, The Match-Up is a new service from eSalon that provides access to salon-grade hair care and styling products tailored to your individual needs. A series of questions relating to hair type, hair concerns, product use and styling goals helps to determine the right products for your hair. Delivered directly to your front door, the box contains three full sized hair care and styling products.
