The Beauty-Full Week: Five new game-changing products for 2016

January is my favourite time of year. Why, you ask? Well it’s the time when some of the newest beauty product launches (which I’ve been getting excited about for the last few months) actually land in stores or reveal their release dates. From cleansers and concealers to new lipstick colours, there are a plethora of new cosmetic products hitting the market and providing consumers with a wide range of choices. As a beauty editor I am always asked about new product recommendations, so this week I have selected five products that I’m most excited about.

1. Erborian Bamboo
I’m always raving on about this brand because I absolutely love the products. Last week I was invited to Erborian’s new Bamboo product launch – a new line of skincare launching in April. Known for its refreshing properties, bamboo – extracted from Damyang in South Korea – features as a key ingredient in this collection. There are six products and my favourites include the Bamboo Waterlock Hydro-Plumping Mask and Bamboo Splash Watery Lotion.

2. Elemis Cleansing Oil
I’m a huge fan of cleansing oils and I’ve tried so many different ones over the years. So, when this product landed on the beauty desk I was intrigued to test it out. Nourishing Omega-Rich Cleansing Oil is made from a blend of over 90% natural oils that removes make-up while nourishing the skin to guarantee soft, fresh and soothed complexions. Ingredients such as winter rose oil and superfoods of chia seed oil and pomegranate extracts promote healthy skin. It also smells good thanks to extracts of lemon, orange, bergamot, rosemary and frankincense.

3. Zelens Treatment Drops
I like to mix up the skincare products I use rather than sticking to just one brand when it comes to cleansing and moisturising my face. Zelens new Treatment Drops (which launches in February) is a great product to incorporate into your daily beauty routine. The oil-based product comes in three variations: Powder A, Powder C and Powder D. Each letter represents the vitamin in the formulation and is designed to target different concerns and transform dull skin back to life. It’s a little bit on the pricey side, but it’s a great investment for beautiful skin.

4. MAC x Chris Chang
Creative collaborations have become an integral part of the brand and MAC knows exactly how to get us excited with new make-up collections. The latest pairing is with Poesia designer Chris Chang. You’ll have to wait a couple of months before you can get your hands on the products (it launches in June) but if you love bright colours then you’re in for a real treat. It includes lipsticks, eyeshadows and blushers in vibrant shades such as blue, red and yellow and the packaging is equally as bold with eccentric and colourful designs.

5. Lancome Juicy Shakers
I first read about this new product on ChicProfile earlier this month. Called Juicy Shaker Biphasic Colour Infusion Lip Oil, it’s a clever little product with a two-phase texture that initially gives a shiny colour and comfort, while the second phase intensifies the colour and shine. Unlike your standard lipgloss, users should shake the tube before using. It comes with a chubby cushion applicator with a conical shape making it super easy to apply.  The launch date is set for spring and I literally cannot wait to get my hands on the product when it hits retail.
