As brands continue to unveil virtual capabilities to the retail environment, adidas introduces the world’s first virtual footwear wall debuting on London’s Oxford Street. Matching a high tech shopping experience to a high tech shoe, the wall is available now in anticipation of the adiZero F50 launch next week. The interactive panels featuring four 46” display screens were installed for customers to pre-order using the immersive touch screen and real-time 3D technology, giving soccer fans an exciting preview.
The adiZero F50 fits this innovative display as a breakthrough item in itself, as the first performance cleat to incorporate technology with the miCoach SPEED_CEL, the adidas performance-tracking device that measures speed, distance, and intensity levels. Weighing in at 5.1 ounces, the lightweight football boot releases November 14th. It will be exciting to see the impact the F50 will have as soccer players join other athletes already empowered through the ability to track their individual performance. –Calvy Click
