Without doubt, Adam Lippes’ star is in the ascendant. With each passing season his collection emphasizes that most attractive of qualities, “desirability”. His S/S 09 offering was no exception. What woman-about-town would say no to the array of sporty looking dresses and separates in softly voluminous shapes, their bright hues inspired by MoMA’s recent Color Chart exhibition. Standouts included bright white crochet knits, silk harem pants with an ’80s bent and a men’s inspired shawl-collared belted jacket. Tropical storm Hannah moved the show indoors but did nothing to throw Adam Lippes off course.
