The 60s American Southwest at David Hart

New York: David Hart cited the American Southwest and late 1960’s Western films as his inspiration this season. Hart’s signature suiting looked fresh in eye-catching colours and cool referential styling. Two button single breasted suits were paired with printed silk dress shirts or chambray button-ups and completed with printed silk bandanas worn almost like an ascot. Colours like fuchsia and cayenne as well as materials like iridescent mohair updated slim 2SB suits, while four button double breasted silhouettes were primarily seen in premium wool. Hart also introduced other items like zipped heavy weight cardigans featuring tribal prints and a particularly covetable woven topcoat with blanket print geometrics, a fringed hem and fur collar. – Matt Feniger
