The 13th Annual Transworld Skateboarding Awards

Last night the Active Team swung by Hollywood’s Avalon to catch the 13th Annual Transworld Skateboarding Awards. The event, hosted by Brian Schaefer and the increasingly pirate-obsessed Lizard King, saw Emerica clean up with their team’s “Stay Gold” video. Baker boss Andrew Reynolds took home Best Video Part for his clip in Emerica epic, while Stay Gold was named Best Video. Big popper Torey Pudwill won the Best Street award, while scenester and master of the impossible, Dylan Rieder, won the Readers’ Choice award. Despite the big names and big wins, the highlight of the night undoubtedly occurred when Andrew Reynolds promoted everyone’s favorite am, Theotis Beasley, to pro status. A much deserved step up for the seriously talented “Nicest Kid in Skateboarding” that brought the crowd to its feet and a literally tore the roof of the Avalon. Congrats Theo!
