When we took another look at the operations of San Francisco-based Tellason Denim, not only did we get to hear from the brand owners but we also witnessed retailers speak on the quality of the brand.
Continuing San Francisco’s rich tradition of jean-making in a major way, Tony Patella and Pete Searson, the dudes behind Tellason denim, have built their brand on a fairly simple formula of classic style and quality product. It is this straightforward mantra of just doing things the right way that has solidified their highly respectable reputation within the denim industry, not only in the U.S. but worldwide.
In this short video, the founders talk openly about the broad implications of their business practices and how they not only represent San Francisco from a product and quality standpoint, but they also represent an ethos of doing something right in the spirit of honest quality and passion. The infamous denim emporiums (and stockists of Tellason), Son of a Stag from London and Amsterdam’s Tenue de Nîmes also add a narrative based on their experience built from years of interaction with multiple brands of denim.
