Love prints? Love the Finnish design house Marimekko? Wish they had a more affordable line? You are in luck.
Target has just announced its latest collaboration, and it’s more interiors based than straight fashion, and it’s definitely one for print enthusiasts.
The ‘Marimekko for Target’ capsule collection, featuring “playful, print-centric pieces”, spans beach, swimwear and accessories for women and girls, plus outdoor décor, furniture and “entertaining essentials”.
The collection’s prints were designed by Maija Isola, dating back to the early decades of the Finnish design house’s heritage.
“When it comes to our partnerships, we travel far and wide to find designers and brands we think our guests will love,” says Julie Guggemos, Senior VP of Product Design and Development for Target.
“We’ve had our eye on Marimekko for quite some time, and can’t wait for guests to have a chance to shop this limited-edition collection in just a few short weeks.”
“Target pioneered the concept of design partnerships and continues to raise the bar with each new collaboration,” said Marimekko’s president Tiina Alahuhta-Kasko.
