New York: Designers Max Osterweis and Erin Beatty have been building quite some buzz over the last few seasons, and for spring they kept the momentum going. The presentation at Milk Studios was abuzz with editors and buyers, who voraciously twitpic-ed and snapped away at the row of girls in the brand’s signature globally sourced prints. The silhouettes ranged widely, from full-on floor-skimming maxis to palazzo pantsuits, flouncy frocks to roomy shorts; but as expected, prints were the rule of the day. It is hard to imagine anything could ever upstage a collection as vibrant and bright as Suno’s, but the wooden platform printed shoes – a collaboration with CFDA-winning footwear line Loeffler Randall – managed to do just that. A few swim looks and just a touch of laser-cut leather were a welcome sign that this design duo has a lot more up their sleeve.
