Each year eyewear retailer Sunglasses Hut teams up with an emerging artist to create a range of collectible collaborative sunglasses, as part of their Artist Series, which are sold in support of the OneSight charity organization.
This year the creative team selected Magda Sayeg, aka KNITTA, one of the instigators of the yarn bombing movement, as featured in our S/S 13 Subnation trend references, to lend her signature design style to a collection of sunglasses.
Using bright yarns, each pair features hand wrapped and stitched details, reflecting the DIY, hand-craft aesthetic of the KNITTA projects, and also reflect the eclectic and vibrant looks pertinent to this season.
Each pair retails for $130, $30 of which goes directly to the charity, and are available from Sunglasses Hut.
