As summer quickly approaches, we are getting stoked for the spontaneous weekend getaways and adventures. With tons of fresh outdoor gear introduced at the recent trade shows, a range of new products are beginning to be released. From modernized sleeping bags and tents to a variety of electronics that will enhance your travels, we decided to highlight a few of our must-haves for our upcoming excursions.

LeTent Rooftop Tent

Poler’s newest tent takes road tripping to the next level, allowing you to post up and make a campsite just about anywhere. Attaching to any vehicle with standard Thule or Yakima bars, the tent’s design includes aluminum poles and a ladder. With a heavy-duty waterproof canvas and a queen size mattress, Poler provides a one-of-a-kind, elevated camping experience.

DriDown Backcountry Bed Sleeping Bag

Another product that will amp up our sleeping experience is Sierra Designs newest sleeping bag, the DriDown Backcountry Bed. The name is quite literal, as the design is based off the idea of sleeping in an actual bed. By eliminating the zipper and adding an oversized comforter, the DriDown Backcountry Bed allows you to wrap yourself naturally in the pod. Key features include an attached sleeping bag sleeve and insulated arm pockets.

TIKKA R+ Headlamp

Petzl updated their TIKKA headlamp with Reactive Lighting technology to maximize its performance. When set in this mode, the light output instantly adapts to the surrounding environment by using a sensor. This automatic feature keeps your hands free and saves burn time. Constant lighting, a red night-vision mode, and a rechargeable battery are other details that take the TIKKA R+ to the next level.

Shelter Co. Meriwether Tent

The luxury pop-up lodging service Shelter Co. introduced their new line of camping goods, including the Meriwether tent. The spacious canvas tents are 16 feet in diameter and 9.5 feet tall at the center, comfortably sleeping 4-6 adults. The minimalistic design has a sleek, vintage look to it and is offered in burnt orange, slate grey, and khaki.

PowerSync SolarWrap Mini

The innovative design of Bushnell’s new solar power charger is compact and lightweight, making it a must-have during any trip. The thin charging panel unrolls and weighs only 3.5 ounces. Still effective on a rainy day, the internal battery feature allows for battery storage, while the USB input can also be used for pre-charging purposes.

Although not much is better than exploring natural landscapes in the warm summer months, it’s almost just as much fun checking out the new gear and technologies offered each year that will boost the experience. While these featured items are all now available in stores, keep your eyes out as more exciting outdoors products begin to hit the market.
