The Ace Hotel chain continues to attract the most creative types from the fields of music and fashion. Since jeans are part of the official Ace uniform in all four cities (Palm Springs, New York, Portland, Oregon and Seattle), it only makes sense that the heritage of such a traditional fabric would make its way into their budget-friendly rooms. Levi's has officially partnered with the hip hotel chain to create Suite 501, a denim-decorated room. The room will feature a denim upholstered headboard, Levi’s pillowcases and artwork from Levi’s most recent campaign, shot by Ryan McGinley. The Walt Whitman poem “Go Forth,” the focus of Levi's recent marketing campaign, is painted on a denim tapestry. The overall vibe matches the hotel's rustic chic-campground aesthetic with canvas covered walls, salvaged furniture, Native American throws and portable record players in every suite. "You know the comfortable feeling of putting on your favorite pair of 501s? That's what we were trying to re-create," said Ace's Alex Calderwood.
