This London Fashion Week S/S17 the cobblestone streets are flooded with fashion fans eager to take advantage of the cooler temps than in NYC to sport their key transitional pieces. We reported on the influence of dark florals this season, and we’re seeing this pattern over and over again with head to toe looks. We’re also seeing autumnal dresses in gingham, with ruffles and ties, a continuation of the off-the- shoulder summer frocks that have been dominating the high street this summer.
As well as the full looks, it’s the accessories that have grabbed our attention, from iPhone’s with quirky cases to statement jewellery, LFW has it all. Colour is key in London, where people aren’t afraid to embrace bold, over the top accessories, from bright red to cobalt blues.
Fendi fur charms have been spotted here again, as in New York, they remain an easy and fun way to add character to any bag. For those who prefer a muted colour palette, traditional nude-toned Chanel bags are also in the street style spotlight, offering a simple and clean alternative to this season of patterns.
Take a look at some of the best accessories we’re seeing on the concrete catwalk (outside the shows) in London.
