Last month Printemps, the Parisian department store, announced that they would be introducing a new denim bar to showcase the up and coming fashions and innovations within the market, which would be appearing in store mid-May. While we were in Paris last week for Denim by premiere Vision we thought we’d pop by and take a look!
Acne, Rag & Bone, Notify, Current/Elliott and J Brand are just some of the names featured within the new department. Items are displayed on white tiled shelving that recalls a New York deli, and the space is very open, light and fresh. The staff were also really knowledgable and helpful – a great shopping experience.
To up the ante even further, a Hymn To Denim festival is being held in store from May 24th – June 23rd. The fête includes a Diesel café to generate the atmosphere and represent the values and history of the house, treating you to a gourmet break during your shopping trip.
All this denim effort cements the growing interest Parisians are taking in our world; we’ve noticed a real resurgence and growth in the French denim industry and we’re glad to see it!
