Paris: This is the second season for David Koma at Mugler and the second time he did not disappoint. The streamlined tailoring and body-centric silhouettes from Koma were made for sexy iconic bodies. Sleek and sublime slithers of dresses in white, black and blue were detailed with grommets and embroidery that dissected and contoured around the female form. There was a modern elegance throughout, particularly in the sculptured sheaths punctuated with form defining cutouts and minute rouleau strips spanning around bare skin and weaving in out of the varying sized grommets. Paneled dresses were cut with angular clean lines rendering looks that were sexy and sculpted while the slim pants and ergonomically tailored jacket in stark white was a showstoppper and continuing in this upbeat vibe, patterns resembling circuit boards were cut in rose gold leather – here was a collection that was full of electric energy and high shine. – Lizzy Bowring
