French designer Jean Paul Gaultier is best known in the mainstream as the man behind Madonna’s infamous conical bra, but in the fashion world, he is a living legend. Gaultier first made waves with his outlandish couture creations beginning in 1976, launching his own house in 1997. His career is still going strong, but if you want an up-close look at some of his most notable past works, head to Stockholm’s Swedish Center for Architecture & Design before September 22nd, where over 100 outfits adorn animatronic mannequins, accompanied by sketches, photographs, and documents illustrating his process.— Ashley Churchill
