Stephane Rolland

There was nothing timid about Stephane Rolland’s Spring 11 couture collection, which was filled with architectural silhouettes for the sophisticated modern warrior. Firm fabrics in a desert-inspired palette, molded by masterful draping and bandage-like effects, gave the collection a serene sculptural beauty, while shimmering metallics lent a sense of confident feminine power. A gold lamé Mad Max leather jacket over a white Grecian gown told the whole story: this is woman, as both leader and seductress.
