PARIS…A rather puzzling Miu Miu collection from Miuccia Prada that cross-pollinated the sporty appeal of jockey uniforms with the cool attitude of surfing suits. Bold color-blocked dresses in neoprene were zipped up the front and embellished with monograms of the models’ initials. Knit blouson sweaters were worn over long sporty shorts and duchesse-satin tunics and track jackets paired with simple straight skirts. Towards the end of the show the direction changed slightly with the designer serving up a series of dresses and suits that spoke to the season’s big message, a powerful silhouette that sits away from the body rendered by the shape shift that Nicolas Ghesquière began last season.
