Sport Influences – Gear & Accessories
By Clare Varga

As Fashion Week continues across the pond, the Active team rounds up our favorite sport-inspired accessories.

It seems these days that sports are playing a heavy influence in multiple other arenas. We have been so inspired by fashion embracing the active influence, and don’t see it going anywhere anytime soon. Our latest roundup of inspiration comes from the product world. From streetwear to fashion, it’s a noticeable impact.

Alexander Wang fails to disappoint with his collection Objects No. 3 containing the most luxe jumprope we’ve ever laid eyes on. Between that, the black croc embossed yoga mat, and the black leather boxing gloves – the designer has taken his influence from sport to a whole new level.

Bathing Ape has always been known for it’s lighthearted approach to streetwear, using its signature ape character in inventive ways. The latest appearance shows Baby Milo’s face across three colorways of golf balls.  We can only imagine this is just testing the water for more sport accessories to come from this brand.

One of our all-time favorites, A.P.C. has teamed up with Eastpak to bring not only a line of backpacks – but also a custom golf bag. Introduced just in time for students to head back to campuses across the country, this collaboration is sure to make way for plenty more of its kind come now that fall has arrived.
