To continue the thread of Valentine’s Day-themed lingerie events, Spanx had a fantastic, fun-filled fall preview slash dance party last night. Held high above the hustle and bustle of New York Fashion Week at Chelsea’s Glasshouses, the popular brand – along with founder Sara Blakely – showcased new shapewear in foundation, hosiery, swim and active forms. Retro was a key direction, with high-waisted briefs sporting jacquard faux panels and delicate laces elegantly lining bras.
With the glittering New York City lights as backdrop, mirror ball shining and a hot 90s soundtrack blasting, the event took us back to awkward junior high dances…In a good way – there were hors d’oeuvres, champagne and super-fancy Spanx pants, after all. We’re sure that many a girl (and guy) will be getting gussied up today for a romantic night out. And what will they be wearing underneath? Spanx, of course.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
