New York: J.Lindeberg’s autumn/winter 2015/16 “Visions of Space” collection took the past to the future with mod-inspired looks injected with a futuristic feel. It was a fitting inspiration for the label, enabling the brand to refresh their rock ’n’ roll aesthetic with treated materials and subverted classics. These references perfectly combined in an ensemble that featured a fine gauge turtleneck layered under a leather waistcoat topped off with a shearling-lined metallic silver aviator jacket and skinny denim pants. Outerwear showed militaristic moments with army green and camel 8DB topcoats with shoulder epaulettes. Some jackets also acquired this utility feel such as wool field jackets that exuded the mod vibe in super fitted silhouettes buttoned to the top. Metallic silver chelsea boots completed each look and amplified the collection’s 60s space journey. – Matt Feniger
