H&M’s latest designer collaboration—a lingerie collection by Sonia Rykiel—hit stores this past weekend amidst a whirl of snow flurries in Manhattan. Fashionistas and boyfriends alike, rushed to the tables to snatch up the limited edition Parisian-chic underpinnings, all priced under $70. Long chiffon robes and flirty nighties fluttered romantically with each wind gust that passed through the doors, as matching rosette-adorned day-bras and thongs tantalized customers inside. With its paneled longline bras and zip-back briefs, the collection should satisfy those who covet the retro-inspired lingerie seen all over the S/S 10 runways. Meanwhile, rhinestone-embellished cotton balconettes and matching bottoms in plum and bright magenta packed plenty of appeal for Juniors. For accessory aficionados, Rykiel also designed a small collection of fun hair accessories all decked with large baubles and trimmed with satin ribbon, making them irresistible toppers for holiday dressing.
