For the first time, Sónar, Barcelona’s premier experimental music and multimedia festival is coming to Chicago. Running from September 9th to 11th, and consisting of over thirty events, the festival will utilize unusual venues like the Frank Gehry designed Jay Pritzker Pavillion and the Chicago Cultural Center.
Founded in 1994, Sónar has become the world’s pre-eminent audio and visual festival. Since 2002, the festival has been a global phenomenon with over 20 events hosted all over world. Outside of Barcelona, Sónar Chicago will be the largest event to date.
