With sleepwear making a big statement on the recent runways and on the big screen, Creative Time’s Slumber Party fundraiser—held last week at Ace Hotel– could not have arrived at a better time. The fashion and art communities came out en masse to support the worthy cause, snack on milk and cookies and dance the night away to the sounds of Fischerspooner. Night owls dressed up in their bedroom best—the ladies channeled Norma Desmond in silk robes, jeweled turbans and feather boas, while the men looked suave in their Hugh Hefner smoking jackets. Eye masks with cheeky sayings and replicas of the ones Audrey Hepburn wore in Breakfast at Tiffany’s topped off these chic looks in perfect bed head style.
As part of the fundraiser, Creative Time commissioned artist Will Cotton—known for his surreal candy-coated landscapes– and apparel company Phllips-Van Heusen to create a limited edition unisex pajama.
