Milan: Ennio Capasa called his collection “Reset” as he mentioned how he wanted a fresh start for this season – ‘the reset is a desire for me in this moment to look at my past work in a new way’ – stated the designer backstage. And so he did. Masculine sharp tailoring, a dark palette of mostly black and a rock ‘n’ roll attitude were the main ingredients of Capasa’s terrific collection. Classic tailored staples were presented with attention-grabbing details – silver bead trims on collars updated tuxedo jackets and dresses, long black feathers were embroidered on a cocktail dress and metal studs were pierced on biker jackets and leather trousers. The way he tweaked masculine tailoring was magnificent too – pinstripes were reworked with silver beads or patchworked in a three-pieced suit. Sporty staples such as zip-up hoodies and sweatshirts were paired with evening dresses and slim tailored garments, blurring the line between day and evening wear. – Diego Sanchez
