While milling about the lobby during Fashion Week, my co-worker Sarah and I were hauled into the Lycra booth by New York designer Sari Gueron’s (very insistent) publicist. The whole Lycra booth was a sell-out kind of thing, where a few designers (Zac Posen among them) were asked to create garments using Lycra in exchange for free publicity. We met Sari Gueron (who I’m sure is sick and tired of Sarah Jessica Parker comparisons) and she was super-nice, yet wily enough to evade my question concering her involvement with the Lycra booth. “Oh, I just love the material, you know?” Sure you do. But I do love her simple, wearable designs that are obviously a reflection of her own laid-back style. I mean really, she’s from Connecticut, what else could the woman do? Pics for you, from Stylesight.
