TOUGH + TENDER + TRANSPARENT
London: Quickly establishing her trademark aesthetic, up-and-comer Simone Rocha offered S/S 12 designs that expanded on last fall’s tailored silhouettes and sheer layering, while incorporating fancy fabrics and feminine design details. Rocha juxtaposed masculine suiting against feminine dresses and skirts, and layered sturdy plastic outerwear over dainty lace looks. Mohawk-inspired hair kept looks tough, and directional oxfords with lucite wedges contributed modernity. –Whitney Kessler
