The release of Sport’s Illustrated annual swimsuit edition is a day marked on many guy’s calendars, and with good reason. After all, it’s not every day that a magazine loaded with scantily clad models arrives in your mailbox. But in recent years, it’s not just the established swimsuit models that get the blood pumping.

Brazilian pro-surfer Bruna Schmitz, 20, has officially arrived, as she graces the pages of the Sport’s Illustrated famous Swimsuit Issue released Tuesday 2/15/11. This year, Sport’s Illustrated skipped the sandy beaches and palm trees of the Bahamas in favor of the Doug firs, glaciers, and 10,000–foot peaks of Banff National Park, Canada.

The German/Brazilian beach beauty is one of three athlete models featured in the Banff shots, posing in an array of outdoor activities such as fly-fishing, canoeing, and of course the classic “…oops! There goes my bikini top” pose. Schmitz also a happens to be sponsored by Roxy and Liu Liu shoes and currently surfs the ASP Women’s World Tour.
