Creating juxtapositions on female forms, designer Riccardo Tisci draped the body in a multitude of menswear fabrics and delicate materials. Exotic feathers, fur and roped beads merged with more traditional fabrics like satin, tweed and wool gabardine with a common element of extenuated shoulders. Molding on black and navy plaid dresses, fur-trimmed military jackets, and tops covered in roped beading brought a sculptural feel to these unusual looks. A one-shouldered feathered dress balanced a sheer long sleeve and a stand-up shoulder constructed in plumage, and was accessorized with fringed Mary Janes. Intricate detailing on masculine looks had a military inflection emerging in an ensemble of a waistcoat, navy trousers and a coordinating toy-soldier hat. Exaggerated epaulets came in the form of strands of “pearls” attached to draped blouse.
