French cobbler Bruno Frisoni unveiled his latest designs for Roger Vivier at the Haute Couture shows in Paris last week, a collection of six hand-made creations that start at $13,500 a pair and go up to an astounding $43,000! The assortment showcases a montage of opulent details like 24 karat gold-coated mesh, semi-precious stones, satin ribbons, silk chiffon, diamanté and crocodile skin fashioned into dainty rosettes. Other variations included 4-inch heeled incarnations of silk mesh and jewels, embellished with a pair of rose pink-dyed, taxidermy birds with gold and crystal heads. These one-of-kind creations are made-to-order and can take up to three months for delivery. With such high prices and extravagant details, the Fashion Office thinks it’s time these ladies take out an insurance policy on their new purchases.
