The Spanish luxury leather label Loewe has recently opened its largest store outside of Spain in key fashion capital Shanghai. Located within the glamorous Jing’An Kerry Centre in Shanghai, this new store was designed by legendary architect Peter Marino. The store’s stunning façade is over nine meters high and is adorned with bronze panels with a macramé texture. The interior design sees cool stucco walls with brass fixtures, oak floors and an entrance built from slabs of Madagascar stone. Spanning over two floors, the ground floor is dedicated to the label’s accessories for both men and women and the upper floor is home to ready-to-wear collections and more accessories. A wall of Tanzania stone displays a selection of Loewe’s most luxurious goods on the ground floor, while the Amazona Atelier invites visitors to create a unique version of one of Loewe’s signature bags. The store also pays homage to the iconic Amazona bag: a sculpture by Chinese artist Qing Xuan of a bamboo Amazona is displayed in one of windows, celebrating the heritage and craftsmanship that Loewe is renowned for.
